The new WAW

French velomobile distributor CyclesJV-Fenioux  posted a video of the updated and refined 2014 WAW, called WAW@2014, made by Katanga in the Czech Republic.

New video:

If you don’t speak French, make sure to switch on the English subtitles.

I really like that thing.

Update Februar 11, 2015:
I’ve just stumbled over these extensive blog post at Recumbent Rumours, giving some background info of the development of the WAW and a fine description of all the updates to the WAW@2014 made by Katanga.

  1. Hi ,

Joe Reichert recommended I contact you about this expo I am putting together.

We are organizing an unconventional bicycle expo at the Tinley Park Convention Center (near Chicago), October 2-4, 2015.

It will include all types of unconventional bicycles, you name it, it will be here.

We think you would be a great fit for the show.

You can find all the exhibitor information on our web site: Cube-Expo.com

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Thank you for your time.

      Hi Julie,
Thanks for the invitation! I’m not really sure how the owner of a little blog can contribute to your show, though.
You might wanted to contact Katanga, the manufacturer of the WAW velomobile, right?

      Cheers,
      Marc

Superb blog you havce here but I was curious about if you knew of any community forums
that cover the same topics discussed in this article?
I’d really like to bee a part of online community where I can get comments frkm other experienced individuals that share the
same interest. If you have any recommendations,
    please let me know. Cheers!

It depends a bit where you are from.
First stop for English speaking folks interested in velomobiles would be the velomobile section in the BentRider Online forums. Very friendly community, lots of info.

Since there are probably more velomobile riders in Germany than in the entire English speaking world combined, the German Velomobile Forum is the other online community worth checking out. While reading the forum posts via Google Translate is a bit tedious, the members don’t mind English comments and will answer to specific questions in English as well.

While not a community, The Velomobile Observer blog gathers the news and new developements in the velomobile scene pretty well. Lúc didn’t posted an update for quite a while, but it’s still pretty much up-to-date.
